7th and 8th grade Holman Orchestra students had the rare opportunity to work with John Clayton, an American jazz musician, classical double bassist, arranger, composer and music arranger.
Mr. Clayton's arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner helped propel Whitney Houston in her 1990 performance at the Super Bowl. He has written and/or recorded with Milt Jackson, Paul McCartney, Regina Carter, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Queen Latifah, and YoYo Ma, to name only a few. This workshop is sponsored by Jazz Saint Louis.
